Ian Axton (born 1970)〔(Ian Axton ) - television and radio presenter〕 is a British television newsreader, best known for his roles with ITV News West Country. ==Career== Before his career in television, Ian worked in commercial radio and ran a company which operated a number of stations along the south coast. Axton has also owned two commercial radio stations, Andover Sound in North West Hampshire and Newbury Sound in West Berkshire. They were sold on 19 August 2011 to Celador Radio Broadcasting. In 2007, Axton presented ITN programmes ''ITV News London'' and the ''ITV News at 5:30'', both broadcast on ITV. Non-news TV credits include ''The Boat Show'' for ITV4, as well as ''The People's Millions'' and ''Climate Change, Make A Difference'' for ITV. From 2007 until 2009, Axton was the main presenter of ''ITV News Meridian'' alongside co-presenter Sangeeta Bhabra in the south-east region of ITV Meridian. He was also a producer for the programme.
